Mrs. Caroline Thie, seventy-eight years of age died at the home of her daughter Mrs. Jack Schmoll, 212 S. 30th St., early this morning. Mrs. Thie had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Schmoll for the past seven years. Besides this daughter, she is survived by other children, Mrs. J.C. Epeneter, Denver,Colorado, Mrs. O.W. Watson, Seattle, Washington, J.C. Thie, San Diego, California, and R.C. Thie of Fort Dodge, eight grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The body will remain in the Laufersweiler Undertaking Parlors until early Thursday morning, when it will be taken to Denver for burial. Mrs. Schmoll, Leo and Eva Schmoll will accompany it there.

Caroline (Carrie) NICKLES and Anton THIE were married ? in Hannibal, Marion Co, MO. Anton THIE was born about 1840 in Hannover, Lower Saxony, Germany. He immigrated before 1861. He died on 28 Nov 1884 in Pueblo, Pueblo Co, CO. He was buried after 28 Nov 1884 in Denver, Denver Co, CO. He was a tailor. The 1880 U.S. Federal Census lists Anton Thie as living in Denver, Arapahoe Co, Colorado, with his family: Carrie (age 30), Mary (age 8), Eva (age 6),Casper (age 3), and Anton (age 1). Caroline (Carrie) NICKLES and Anton THIE had the following children:
